Hot Hotel aims to transform Southport into
"Brighton of the North West"
The traditional seaside resort of Southport is undergoing a renaissance as one of the hottest new hotels in the UK prepares to open its doors.
The Vincent brings a dash of Manhattan-style chic to the North West with its ubër cool rooms, contemporary decor and cutting edge design The luxurious penthouse suite is one of the most expensive hotel rooms in the region and boasts an outdoor Jacuzzi, spa bath with built-in flat screen TV, private steam room and free 5000 title MP3 collection.
The prospective five star hotel, which was named one of the top 20 Hot Hotels for 2008 by The Times, is not due to open for business until May but has already been inundated with bookings. All 60 rooms at the £13million hotel have been booked ahead of the British Open in July and enquiries for the MTV awards, taking place in nearby Liverpool in November, are flowing in.
Owner Paul Adams said: “Our aim is to help transform Southport into the Brighton of the North West. British seaside resorts are becoming hip once again with more and more people choosing to holiday in the UK. Southport is a fantastic destination with some of the best golf courses in the world on its doorstep, including Royal Birkdale which hosts this year’s British Open Championship. Opening The Vincent will help reposition Southport as a classic resort and bring a lot of business to the town."
Southport, which a popular place to live with business professionals and celebrities such as Alan Hanson and Kenny Dalgleish, has recently been branded as “England’s Classic Resort”. It is aiming to combine traditional seaside heritage with high quality contemporary facilities.
The town has attracted more than £90million of investment including new hotels, visitor attractions and improvements to the historic Chapel Street and Lord Street.
